Quality
Control
We
at Anderson Homes take pride in the homes that we build and
believe that the best advertisement is a happy customer. That's
why we approach every project with this thought in mind, "How
would I want to be treated?"
PROJECT
MANUAL
We
sit down with you at the very beginning and develop a comprehensive
project manual which specifies, in detail, every component
that will go into your new home. This is your document to
assure you that you are getting exactly what you expect. Once
the project manual and plans have been modified to your satisfaction,
a fixed price contract is drawn up. After that point, the
only thing that would cause a change in the contract amount
would be if the owner requested a change from something specified
in the project manual, and we would provide a change order
indicating the cost difference for approval before any changes
were finalized. We feel that our clients deserve full disclosure
of all the costs involved in building their home, therefore,
there are no hidden costs.
SCHEDULE
We
know that people need a time frame to work with when planning
a move, in order to arrange for their belongings to be delivered,
send in a change of address, start new phone service, and
so on. With our scheduling process you can be assured that
the construction will move along smoothly and will not have
large periods of time when nothing is being done. When we
give you a completion date, we make every effort to meet that
time frame. We usually beat that time because our scheduling
is updated regularly so our subcontractors can move through
their phase in a timely manner.
THE
FRAMING WALK THROUGH
To
make sure that the interior is just the way that you want
it, we schedule a framing walk through. During this on site
meeting we will go over the construction of your home up to
that point, to address any changes that you might want to
make and to answer any questions that you may have. The layout
for the cabinets will be chalk lined on the sub floor so you
can get a feel for your kitchen, bathrooms and any other cabinetry
that is planned for your home.
PRE-WIRING
MEETING
The
pre-wiring meeting, which usually takes place on the same
day as the framing walk through, is for the purpose of determining
the layout for placement of electrical fixtures, switches
and outlets. You will want to make sure you have the dimensions
of your dining room set, and a general idea of where you'll
want furniture, lamps, ceiling fans, entry lights, TV's, phones
and any specialty items, so you wont have any disappointments
such as switches not being where you want them, or your dining
room light not being centered on the table.
NEW
HOME CHECK LIST
Upon
completion of your home, and after the building department
does their final inspection and signs off on the permit, we
will do a final walk through with you. Using our 'New Home
Checklist', which covers all areas of the home, we will go
through the interior and inspect painting, millwork &
doors, floor coverings, light fixtures and cabinetry, then
go to the exterior and inspect siding & trim, painting,
roofing and flashing, as well as landscaping and septic system
if applicable. As we do the walk through, we mark each area
as either approved by owner, or note any corrections or touch-ups
that need to be done.
WARRANTY
SERVICE
To
assure many years of trouble free living we will supply you
with a new homeowners notebook, containing important information
pertaining to your home, in case you need it for future use.
Also, you will be provided with a sixty-day and a one-year
checklist on which you simply record a description of any
defects that may arise and mail them to our office. We make
every effort to address any problems as soon as possible,
as homeowner satisfaction is extremely important to us.
As
you can see, we are committed to building a home to your exact
specifications and life style. We want you to be happy with
your home not just from the first day you move in, but for
years to come.
